This is one of the most beautiful fishing spots in the lower valley of the river Charente. It is aimed at those who enjoy sport fishing for carnivorous fish: pike, pike-perch, perch, black-bass and catfish.

You will explore this route in motorised (boats) or non-motorised (float-tubes, canoes and kayaks) craft. It is 4.8 km long and starts at the slipway at the Port-du-Lys boat stop on the left bank and ends at the Brives-sur-Charente bridge. It is managed and maintained by the AAPPMA "Les Pêcheurs Saintongeais", the Fluvial Agency of the Departmental Council and the commune of Salignac-sur-Charente.

Fishing licence required. 4 lines maximum/fisherman. 3 carnivores can be caught/day/fisherman, including a maximum of 2 pikes (excluding catfish and perch). Legal catch sizes: pike between 60 and 80 cm (catch window), zander 50 cm, black bass 30 cm. Pike fishing authorised from the last Saturday in April to the last Sunday in January. Fishing with lures (except for certain models), livebait and dead fish is prohibited during the closure of pike fishing. Night fishing for carp is allowed in the dedicated sector.
