More details
In 2008, the Community of Communes of the Haute-Saintonge launched the construction of 21 horse-riding halts (plus one at Port Rouffiac) throughout the hiking network in order to facilitate itinerant hiking.
The facilities include a 20m² hut, tie bars for horses, a picnic table, a rubbish bin, etc.
Bivouacs are authorised by the communes for one night on these 21 sites.
Thus, on 1,200 km of marked horseback riding circuits, you can compose your horseback outings for a day or much more...
To consult the itineraries drawn up on 1:25,000 scale maps or the GPX tracks, please contact the Communauté des Communes de la Haute-Saintonge on 05 46 48 12 11.
