The dolmen consisted of seven stones which were moved on 21 October 1978 by a public works machine, originally intended to clear the immediate area to promote tourism.

The stones, which were finally put back in place by the same machine, probably damaged the underlying burial chamber. Fragments of bone and traces of charcoal appeared, as well as tiles and a bowl base from the Roman period.
