Woods, villages and unspoilt sites decorate the route through undulating countryside. The wine-growing bocage of Haute-Saintonge offers a landscape of mixed farming and panoramic views before reaching the marshes at Vitrezay, a nature stop on the Canal des 2 Mers à Vélo.

From the Antilles de Jonzac
1) Go down to the Seugne river behind the casino. Cross the Seugne to reach the D134E3 and follow it to the left. Continue on this road along the Seugne for 2.3km.
2) You arrive at an intersection where you cross the Bouclette n°5 (small cycle loop) take a left turn towards the Seugne, then a right turn after 100m, stay on this road (1.2km).
3) At the bend in the road, when you reach the D149, the roads separate and the circuits branch off towards three destinations: Take and keep right.
Pass the railway line and go straight on for 900m.
At the crossroads, turn left and continue on the D149 to the junction with the D134 (900m).
4) At the D134, turn left and then the second road on the right to the Ste-Vallière cross (700m).
Go west on the D253, stay on this road, cross the villages of chez Pinaud, la Gudelette, chez Désiré (3,5 km).
5) At the D19, take the road opposite and enter St-Simon-de-Bordes.
At the church, turn left and go down to the lake. You are sharing the route of the cycle circuit n°9, the Bouclette de l'étang d'Allas.
Turn left at the D154E1 towards Agudelle.
In the bend before the village, turn right onto a small road.
After 300m, at the crossroads, take the road opposite, drive another 700m to the fork.
6) At the fork in the road: leave La Bouclette and take the D153E to the left towards Allas-Bocage.
Leave Allas-Bocage on the right and continue 900m further to the next fork: take the road on the left towards Soubran and continue for 2.4km, you will pass through a number of places called Berceleu, les Poulins, les Simons.
7) 500m after Les Simons, take the first road on the right, before arriving in Soubran.
Small detours: continue straight on to Soubran to visit the Potters' Museum (+1km) before taking the estuary road again.
8) Stay on the D150 and take the second road on the left after 1,700m.
Cross the place called Fanioux and at the next fork in the road, take the left-hand road to Les Chapelles (1,100m).
At the end of the hamlet, be careful when crossing the D730: take and follow the road opposite to Chez Nadeau (2km)
Leave the hamlet on the right and take the road opposite at the next crossroads.
100m further on: turn left at the fork in the road towards Petit Niort. Turn right and immediately left to reach the church of Saint-Martin de Petit Niort.
Radiant sheet N°6 Mirambeau - Vitrezay
1) From the church of Saint-Martin de Petit Niort, take the departmental road 137 and follow it to the left for 300m before leaving it by the first road on your right. After 500m, at the crossroads: go straight on and follow the road which goes left to pass under the A10.
2) At the end of the tunnel, turn left, pass the localities of Chez Mouillé and continue straight on towards Chez Train.
3) At the fork in the road, turn left and follow the road due north to the intersection 1,300m further down.
4) At the intersection turn left and follow the road to the crossroads at the Ferrat stream.
5) At the Ferrat crossroads, turn right to cross the stream and join the D149, cross it and follow it to the left, towards St-Bonnet-sur-Gironde.
6) Leave the D149 after 800m by the first road on the right, go up and take the first road on the left, follow this road, cross the Pérat and join the D149 at the entrance of St-Bonnet-sur-Gironde.
7) At the crossroads of St-Bonnet-sur-Gironde, the signposting splits towards St-Sorlin-de-Conac, departure of the Bouclette n°15, and the Échappée Nature de Vitrezay. Follow the signs to Vitrezay, by the second road on the left to go down directly to the Échappée Nature.
