More details

From the Bernard Roussillon college car park, head in the direction indicated by the sign and follow the yellow markings. At the crossroads with the stone cross, turn right towards Montguyon and left onto the DFCI track no. SA 14.

Follow the path through the meadow and along the oak wood to the tarmac road.

Turn left and after about 200m turn right onto the track through the fields. Turn right again. Follow the dirt track along the fence and through a copse of oak trees, leaving a grassy track on the left. Climb up in the shade to the village of Bois Lamet. On the tarmac road 100m further on, turn left towards the village of Maine Dufour (view of the Dronne valley and its left bank hillsides in the Dordogne).

At the entrance to this village, turn right onto the gravel path through the vineyards, leaving on the left the grassy path that descends into the valley and the locality known as "le Genêt". Go through the woods (hazelnut, chestnut, oak and pine trees). When you reach the tarmac road, cross the "Vrignotte" stream to the left and climb for about 400m (pond).
Before reaching the hamlet of "Breuillet des Landes", turn left onto the track, first into the meadow and then into the oak and pine forest. Leave the uphill track on the right. Descend to the left towards "Mozenne".

Cross the stream at "Le pont de Breuillet". Turn right and 300 m into the oak forest, join the large loop (yellow-green markings) which descends to the left (circuit in the Mozenne valley as far as the next bridge). Cross the "Tabournier". Continue on DCFI track no. 2. Turn right. Cross the Mozenne on the Cherpe bridge, leaving the grassy path on your left. Go straight up to the meadow.

At the Cherpe crossroads, continue straight ahead on the tarmac road (with views to the south and west over the Val de Mozenne, and to the north and far away over the hillsides of the Dronne). At the next crossroads, leave the tarmac road on your right and the gravel track on your left and continue straight on up the hillside. After the vineyard and meadow, turn right onto the grassy track as far as the tarmac road. Turn left after 50m. In the village of Cosson, leave the loop (yellow-green markings). Follow the yellow markings. Turn right onto DCFI track no. SA 30. Enter the pine forest.

Further on, turn left onto the tarmac road. Cross the "Vrignotte" again. Turn right onto the DFCI track no. SA 13. At the end of the pine forest, there is a pond on the left and a meadow on the right. When you reach the hamlet of Bois de Lamet (bread oven and dovecote in an old wooden barn nearby), turn left onto the tarmac road and follow the signpost "St-Aigulin 3km". Drive along a wood of hazelnut, oak and chestnut trees, follow the fence and leave the tarmac road. Turn right onto the dirt track, follow the fence and descend through the woods to join the common section of this route.

Turn left. Follow the path along the wood and through the meadow to the Montguyon - St-Aigulin tarmac road. Turn right then left back to the college car park.
